Who we are

UBC Product Management Club (UBC PMC) was founded in 2020 to foster a community of aspiring product managers at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. By leveraging our industry connections, a tight-knit student network, and our personal experiences in product management, we demystify what it means to be a product manager while preparing students for product roles in the industry.

Our mission

Our mission is to build a vibrant and inclusive community of aspiring product managers dedicated to advancing their knowledge, sharpening their skills, and fostering innovation through collaborative learning, networking, and hands-on experience.

Testimonials

  • Thank you so much for putting [the Product Sprint] on, truly a very cool experience. The sprint was actually representative of what being a PM is actually like. What a feat!

Clare P., Current APM @ Salesforce, 2022 Product Sprint Runner-Up

  • Initially, when I was first accepted into my first product sprint, I was quite intimidated by all the things I didn't know. Frankly, that didn't change in the first week but after all the workshops and the guidance of our mentors, the intimidation quickly turned into a fun and motivating experience.

    Renee S., 2022 Product Sprint Runner-Up

  • At UBC PMC’s Product Sprint Challenge, I learned and applied Product Management skillsets to solve Kinzoo Family's business challenge by going through the product discovery, solution, construction, & presentation phases.

Aniket K., MBA & Project Specialist @ Deloitte, 2022 Product Sprint Participant
